We have seen a lot of ups and downs in Kamloops real estate in the last two quarters. By the end of August, the market seems to have adapted well with new technology and government regulations to sustain during the pandemic. Many would've argued a few months ago that it will take time for the market to recover, but here we are 8 months into 2020 and the sun is shining bright on Kamloops real estate.

KADREA Update:

KADREA members have shown great resilience during Covid-19 and have found ways to keep improving even when life is going slow. Members have made use of online courses to ensure that they make the best use of this time. KADREA management saw this as an opportunity to give back to our members and has provided them with a free mandatory course, that would otherwise cost each member $175.

KADREA will be covering the cost of $175 (per member) for whoever wants to register for the mandatory 'Ethics Course'. Please find the course details below and the steps that you'll need to take in order to get this course for free.

2. AUTOPROP training coming soon:

In collaboration with AUTOPROP, KADREA will be organizing two AUTOPROP Training sessions every month, details of which will be shared with members over email in the next few days.

Members can learn AUTOPROP and can considerably improve the quality of their deliverables to clients. They can:
1. Map potential sites and assemblies in seconds
2. Quickly understand nearby development and rezoning applications
3. Combine land use plans, rezoning applications, comparables, and property data in one map.

We will be sharing registration details soon. Stay tuned!

3. Kamloops real estate sales continue to grow through summer:

Kamloops REALTORS® seem to be making up for lost time as real estate sales figures continued to rise through the final month of summer.

Figures released by the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association (KADREA) show a 33 per cent rise in residential unit sales in 2020 when compared to August 2019. In addition, the average sale price jumped nearly 9 per cent.

“The pandemic has shown us some strange market behaviour this year,” said KADREA president Wendy Runge. “While we were prepared for a slow summer, sales in the region tell a different story.”
